New Year. New You.Posted: January 5, 2013

The idea to “cheat” the new year with a beloved Christmas friendly look, just didn’t seem bad in my mind.
I always wanted to talk about the red that I fear and love at the same time.
But, in my own way. And I found it inspired by the 2012 trends that I said goodbye and the new 2013 looks that I welcome. Christian Louboutin, Kotur, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, McQ, Marni.
The return of plaid.
There is nothing more beautiful in the fashion industry than a familiar come back. Nothing more exciting than the classic that is renewed. Nothing more interesting than a favorite style that has a new story to tell. The plaid, the tartan, the western look, the Scottish checks, the grunge style, this smart trend, anyway, has a vintage magic that fascinates me always and everywhere. Just like a cool game that adds a chic naivety to my looks that reminds me that fashion is not only wearable but also adorable.
Avoid to try it with jeans and, this year, risk to mix it with the luxury blacks. Dare to accessorize it with glam jewelley. Long earrings and chunky necklaces are allowed because of their creative opposition to the basic styling. Amplify its charm with a severe vest or buy it as the main pattern of your accessories. And if you want your makeup intense, never mind. Red lipstick is totally acceptable just like the cinnamon shades that give to the final look the sense of a cozy winter afternoon when you feel beautiful, peaceful, creative.
Moreover, this is not the style about? A silent narration with images that have excellent texture, a.k.a fabric. And if you wonder… how you ‘ll do it, I have a little “recipe” for you designed as a photo album so you can keep it on your desktop to think of your possible options.
Wherever you are, stand out of the crowd.
