Once upon a time there was the blogosphere, the Victoria Kyriakides fashion house and its favorite bloggers.

In those four exclusively, me, Nelly Skoufatoglou, Joanna Tsigarida and Elena Pakou asked to create their own visuals for the 2013 preview bridal collection. Those immediately responded and created a custom bridal material with a new online approach of the fantastic classic history of the bridal dress.

The protagonist of my film walks through the city. She is happy.  She smiles and she definitely stands out from the crowd.  She has the fashion habit of mixing the “materials” of her closet. All those have unique flavors, colors and forms that travel in time combining yesterday’s must haves with anything new. Her style…creatively anarchic. Sensitive and expressive as the “scent” of a cool “I do”. She is not afraid. She dares. She is not exaggerating. She balances. And she enjoys playing. With her soul. With her heart. Put your jumper over your sophisticated wings. The jockey hat with your the gown skirt you love. Your severe jacket with the unique mid length creation that fascinates you. Make a collage of yourself on your dress and live that moment forever. I want to share with you my new creation, my “Stand out of the crowd” bridal filming tetralogy.

This is not about styling. It’s all about restyling the whole wardrobe. Just like that everything is new again. Write down a few of my tricks.

Generally, I do not love lists. On the other hand, the collages absolutely yeah! That’s because they help me to do lists in a more pleasant way. Today I wanted to definitely fit my thoughts in one image. And I did it. I put everything I think, want, love, seek, and use to a head that seems that it will explode because of all that information. Yes this is my head. And because a picture is stronger than a thousand words I won’t say much (strange!). I’ll just name the elements of the style that came with the most bizarre and at the same time creative month of my life, May!

1. Totally coordinated with my next post and mini bridal project I love the white pumps with high but restless heels.

2. I “insist” on doing my fave sloppy bun on top of my head. The secret is to do a ponytail and wander it around itself many times.

3. I love the grey ab fab tops. I wear them as is or, alternatively, baggy tank top from inside. If you ask me where to find it I will tell you to cut off your cool and basic ZARA or H&M grey top.

4. The vintage style sunglasses are now more hot than ever. Nostalgic style as required to sprinkle my everyday style.

5. I “graft” with spikes my favorite jeans Levi’s shirt. I love the restyling and you know it. It was about its time to go to the next fashion level.

6. I love the black background contrast in summer. I just added to the summer collection of the blog a white denim shorts. I will wear it with a black long sleeve transparent shirt.

7. The spikes are the DNA of my accessories. See the ring that fits my 24/7 style. I got it four years ago from a London market.

8. I cannot live without vitamins, but lately and not even without sugar. Bananas and chocolate consist my breakfast for the last  2 days  on a slice of multigrain breads. I do the necessary “styling” to my refrigerator too.

9. The pleats are the”quiet force” of my closet. I wear them in an intense color and afterwards I let the manicure to follow the same color direction.

All those style tricks together or separately are a way to stand out of the crowd.  Try them too and reinvent your closet!

Κι όμως, θα κρατήσω την αφήγησή μου απλή για να σου δείξω θησαυρούς που λατρεύω και looks που σέβομαι για την “υποχθόνια” comme il faut δυναμική τους. Θα ακουστεί περίεργο αλλά έτσι το νιώθω. Τα ρούχα είναι σαν μια σχέση. Μοναδική σχέση. Θέλουν φροντίδα, πείσμα, πάθος, πάθος, πάθος-βάζω πάντα πολύ από αυτό- αφοσίωση, φαντασία, παρανοική δημιουργικότητα, αγάπη. Αμήχανα ρομαντικό; Δεν νομίζω. Μάλλον βαθιά συναισθηματικό θα το ονομάτιζα. Κάπως έτσι, λοιπόν, ένα ύφασμα που κάποτε έπεσε στα χέρια μου τυχαία ή επί τούτου, για μένα το ίδιο κάνει, γίνεται στην πορεία “συνειρμός” προσωπικών στιγμών, μάρτυρας της ζωής μου και κατά αντιστοιχία και της ζωή σου. Σαν ένα ανεμπόδιστο εικαστικό σύμβολο με το οποίο συγκατοικώ από τώρα για πάντα. Όσα κομμάτια έρχονται από το παρελθόν “σπέρνουν” την ιστορία τους σε νέες δράσεις και όποιο σώμα τα φορά τους προσδίδει νέο ύφος και στυλ. Σήμερα θα σου μιλήσω για τα αγαπημένα μου μίντι. Αυτά που ακροβατούν ανάμεσα στο δημιουργικά προκλητικό και το απροσδιόριστα κλασικό. Το ύπουλα συντηριτικό και την γραμμή με άποψη. Αυτά που δεν είναι αυτόφωτα αλλά ετερόφωτα περιμένωντας στωικά την κατάλληλη σκηνοθετική οδηγία για να δώσουν τον καλύτερο εαυτό τους πάνω στο stage της μόδας. Αυτό ακριβώς είπα στην πρωταγωνίστριά μου, Nina Onoyko, που με μόνα της αξεσουάρ τα γάντια και τον ευθαρσώς ατημέλητο κότσο της, αφομοίωσε στην κίνησή της το urban cool βίτσιο μου με μυρωδιά 70s. Αγαπάω τα πάττερν που σαν wallpaper της μόδας “ντύνουν” πανέμορφα κάθε σκέψη, ματιά, ανησυχία, όνειρο και όραμά μου. Αγάπα τα και εσύ γιατί είναι ένα ακόμα πολύτιμο όπλο σου για να ξεχωρίσεις από το πλήθος. Τα άλλα δύο ξέρεις που θα τα βρεις, στο χαμόγελο και στην αυτοπεποίθηση σου. Χωρίς αυτά, στυλ δεν υπάρχει. Στο λέω. Enjoy!

Τα μυστικά μου..!

• Δεν υποτιμώ ποτέ τον πολύτιμο ρόλο της λεπτής ζώνης που αλλάζει την ισορροπία στο τελικό look μου.
• Για μένα το στυλ εξ ορισμού κρύβεται στις αντιθέσεις. Τα αξεσουάρ πρέπει να ακολουθούν τον αντίθετο δρόμο του ρούχου σαν σχόλιο στην αφήγηση των υφασμάτων. Εδώ φόρεσα τα δερμάτινα κόκκινα γάντια μου.
• Τα πάττερν δείχνουν στυλιστική σοφία. Δεν τα φοβάμαι. Θα σε πάρω από το χέρι για να σου πω και εσένα πως να τα εκμεταλλευτείς. Φόρεσέ τα σε ένα item με την μορφή φορέματος και ψηλά (τουλάχιστον 8 πόντους) τακούνια. Χωρίς κόπο κάνουν την bonus style διαφορά.

Πριν κλείσω άλλο ένα mystyleforecast επεισόδιο μοιράζομαι μερικά backstage snaps με πολύ γέλιο και αστείρευτο πειραματισμό πάνω στο ρούχο μαζί με την Nina στο shooting στο Μεταξουργείο.

Sometimes the colors acquire forms. All forms require my narrative with words that take their place in a “canvas” that even without them has its own dynamics. I will not tell you much. I’ll whisper just a few particular things to get you in the enthusiastic after party mood of the first private bloggers event.

One thing is essential for style. Authenticity. And it “lives”in the spontaneous expression, the unobstructed thoughts, the creative actions. And when all are completed at every single face remains a smile of joy, and positive energy, like an elixir that makes you evolve your fashion mentality. Nothing is the same afterwards.

The color was ans still is the main inspiration. My “tools” are the vintage treasures that like “magicians” from another era transform a simple style decision to styling. The challenge is specific. Each of us will see a liberated projection of herself in the mirror. A new creative reflection of everything that has on her mind and wants to express through a creative dress code.

Everything started just like this. Two blogs, Mystyleforecast and Beautydiaries team up with the coolest color brand Make Up For Ever and Sephora to organize the 1st private bloggers event…

Do you love color? YES, I love it.
And well it’s not to difficult to manage to mix it with your clothes? NO, because I’m not afraid of it. Just what you are afraid of, incommodes you.
And if the final look is eccentric? There is no eccentric result in fashion. The only thing you need is balance between the one that selects an items and its selection.
And if I want but ..? It’s simple as that. Organize your feelings into pictures. Manage your thoughts and enjoy their projection at your mirror. And anyway you are not alone in that case.
This dialogue has the same characteristic with the infinite. It’s endless. By itself, an indefinite one-act play with me on and off stage in a multi-role of interpretation, approach and clapping.
Ok, it’s clear. I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT COLOR. So as I spread it in the city. Through special vintage clothes, smart accessories and pigments. Yes, from those pigments that nourish my disposal for fun childish things and my insatiable creative wanderings.
Alina wears everything that I love for its shape and design and I just want to paint. Inspired by the joyful “colorful” aura of my protagonist I coordinate my universe with it. The intractable female orange top, and the yellow nostalgic shirt and the floral pattern that is expressed through a cool masculine creation, and the sunnies, and the watch, and the lipstick and the eyeshadows and many other “tools” that were there but you cannot see them.
They are pieces that are always in my closet- “satchel like the markers that fill with color the black & white “contours” of every day.

My protagonist
Live free. Be Happy. This is the motto of Alina Preiss who makes the laughing, “profession” and the positive energy, the IT “accessory” of the new season. She says that her favorite color is yellow, bright and “smiling” of course, her fave celeb style, the British cool looks of Alexa Chung and her favorite model, Antonia Wesseloh for the Prada campaign SS12. For her looks, she is inspired exclusively from her walks on the streets watching the original fashion expressions of different personalities. She is studying history at the University of Munich and as a proper history student who loves anything that has a past, she has a wardrobe full of vintage clothing. When I am asking her to reveal me her style fetish, she starts talking with enthusiasm about a cool pair of Harley black boots she bought for $10 in Istanbul while she is dreaming to live in New York city.

Emotions, as an extension of an action, are so simple and complicated at the same time. There is nothing bad, strange, either special to enjoy your loneliness. Nothing at all. The feeling of jumping on a bed, any bed, probably yours, ideally with a fluffy duvet and colored sheets, is equivalent to freedom. And when I am trying to transform this “freedom” into an outfit, to make it apparent, to fit it in my closet, then, the most liberal items come to mind and my hands. The charm lies in the most spontaneous actions and often style is jealous of the dynamic that they have. In love with the patterns and respecting the stylish power of the jumpsuits I create a lingerie atmosphere dictated by the space and the looks. I won’t talk to you about perfection. I would never do that. But I’ll talk to you about imagination. About the cool cotton vest that I wear over the satin leopard jumpsuit, the ribbons that constantly inspire me and I could easily “involve” them to the hairstyle, but finally I don’t as I prefer the rebel look of each flock, the floral pattern that, in that case, I love even more as it reminds of the innocence of school years and many more. The moment you will manage to graft every single look with the feeling of your frolicking on the bed, your style will go to another dimension. That’s what I always try to do. I promise.

My secrets

1. I never underestimate any item of my wardrobe. I reevaluate from the beginning the items that were withdrwan using them differently and combining them with new accessories.
2. The jumpsuit is the most functional “tool” in the hands of a fashionista. Due to its dual dimension of a skirt and a shorts time relieves me from the headache of choosing the right top creating at the same time a 100% stylish appearance.
3.I invest in leggings able to change the entire character of an outfit. My favorites colors are grey and burgundy.

I don’t have a loving relationship with pink. It’s not something personal. Although I appreciate its romantic DNA and his girlie identity it’s not my kind of color context. It’s because I perceive differently the IN LOVE process. I am talking about dynamics and intensity and immediacy and countless routes and falls and spontaneity and speed and a breezy wind blowing my hair and embarrassment and endless new experiences and insights and rough scars and humor and laughter and much more. And now, at 4.43 am, this is the story I wanted to tell you. When I was a little girl and Ι read fairy tales, every time the same story seemed different. That’s exactly what happened to me with this alternative wedding concept. I always wanted to “narrate” a glamorous fashion case through the streets of Athens. I always wanted to “read ¨ the pink fairy tale differently. So, I take my “tools” and I dress up the model with the most cool vintage creation. I like the strict neckline and the classic color choice. I add three necklaces- the accessories are the “salt” for my vintage style recipes-and I replace the “happy ever after” pumps with sneakers. If you cannot support this option, wear high heels with intense color. Just a few seconds before I give Jude her skate Ι put on her wrists my beloved item. Bike gloves with matte sequins. Another contrast that I love. These are my selected rock “breaths” that allow to my bride to survive at this urban fairy tale.

My little secret
When I dress up and I look in the mirror and everything seem all right I make sure that I do something wrong. I replace the obvious with the charm of surprise. Combine your dress with rock accessories, give a new creative dimension in footwear, fix your hair in a way that the hairstyle works as a “comment” to the rest of the look and choose as your clothing base something classic. That’s what I did with this hand-embroidered off white maxi dress.

My protagonist
Jude Vazquez is from New York. She is totally afraid of cockroaches and she meets me on camera just a few days after she has landed in Athens. She is cool, she loves Paris, her motto is carpe diem, she listens fanatically to rock music and when she finds out her mini skateboard operation, she smiles condescendingly knowing how to show her skills at the streets of the historic center. Beloved item in her wardrobe is the skinny black leather pants, she cannot resist the baklava and if she had to be likened her style with a vehicle, she chooses the two-wheeled approach of a motor.

Many times my emotional state sees its projection onto a look. When YOU ARE LOOKING FOR something, anything, someone, anyone, the movement of the body is given. Nervous, unspecified, repetitive, often erotic, full of energy, without second thoughts, almost the most revealing indication of your character. This full of energy action drives me to new inspirations apart from the respective frames of my mind. The IMAGINATION gives me the right of the exposure and this makes me even more creative. I dress my model with “materials” that you already have in your wardrobe by adding some unpredictable “ingredients” that you think of but you rarely dare to use them, that make the flavor of the final fashion “recipe” acceptable but MYSTERIOUSLY NEW. The controlled digital prints function as a canvas on the body creating a sophisticated style DNA that does not surprise or worse provoke with their eccentric dynamics. It’s the rest environment that takes care of it through a stylistic coolness equivalent of my meditation when I’m looking for something that usually at the end is never found.

my secret
When I want to try something that you easily would say even extreme, I always fit it in my favorite black background. The security that offers me the “darkness” of the outfit makes me feel confident for the chosen item that stands out.

my fashion movie star
The 21-year old Ilse Van Langevelt from Holland loves minted green color, envisions to make the shooting campaign for her fave label See by Chloe, notes on my notebook that her coolest fashion item is her leather oxford shoes and would love to do the television advertising for fragrance DKNY Delicious Green Apple. She hates the excess quantity of a 100% transparent, almost sticky lip gloss on her lips, adores vintage clothing and believes that every model that respect herself should certainly have a black leather bike jacket in her wardrobe. The most expensive item in her closet is a pair of boots and her favorite movie is “La Vita e Bella”. “The optimistic approach gives you strength to move forward,” she says to me explaining her film choice, just a few seconds before the first take.

The most magical thing in the process of creation is when what you have in your head suddenly stands in front of you. The undefined excitement has finally a shape and a status taking up space. This is particularly the most inspirational “wed wed” and I would dare to say even the most embarrassed. Μadly in love with the packaging process i am “touching” my thoughts experiencing an incredibly fun making of the first gifts of the MSF.
Lightweight paper bags. And yellow purses to stock your gift. And marshmallows ( the most delectable “stomach ache”) as they are my guilty fetish. And a stamp that I love because of its independence that allows me to stamp everywhere. And a lot of relaxing bubble wrap to secure that the package will be arrived safe and that afterwards you will be able to push non stop the blisters experiencing the coolest anxiolytic process of the world. And because you are also observing my style, I tell you that I am wearing my favorite vintage dress from Porto Bello market in London in an after work environment. With a medium length, strangely white, with a pattern that does not incommodes me and a design that satisfies my latent rock desire. Love. A.
